I joined with Dr. Fernand Cohen, Professor of Electrical Engineering, and his senior PhD student Ms. Ezgi Taslidere team to work on a project "Target Detection by Using Wireless Sensor Network". This project is sponsored by National Science Foundation. This is an emerging new field that has gained popularity due to its usefulness in tracking physical and environmental conditions using autonomous wireless sensors. The goal of this hand-on experiment is to provide students the theoretical and abstract ideas of Wireless Sensor Network application that students can relate to on a practical level. In our case, we will focused to target a radio controlled vehicle in space and time with in our wireless sensor network in our lab environment using a number of motes (nodes).
